Dr. Yao Zhu is a Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Urology and the Head of Urology at the Pudong Campus. Additionally, he holds the position of Executive Director at the "Prostate Cancer Precision Treatment and Imaging Center" of the Shanghai Genitourinary Cancer Institute.
Dr. Zhu has long been dedicated to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of genitourinary tumors. His primary focus is on minimally invasive radical prostatectomy, salvage surgery, and personalized comprehensive treatment for prostate cancer. He has independently performed over 3,500 radical prostatectomy surgeries. His clinical goal is to provide the optimal treatment plan for every patient at the best possible time. To achieve this, he is proficient in robot-assisted surgery (over 1,600 cases), laparoscopic surgery (over 1,200 cases), and open surgery (over 700 cases).
Dr. Zhu is also committed to research and innovation, developing precise diagnostic tools such as novel tumor markers (phi) and PET imaging. He utilizes genomic information to provide precise individual treatment planning and hereditary tumor prevention. In his practice, he strives for high-quality surgical outcomes through meticulous surgical planning, refined techniques, and selective multidisciplinary treatments.
