Personal Biography
Currently serves as the Director of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Renji Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is a Chief Physician, PhD in Surgery, and Doctoral Supervisor. He began his career in 2004 and has long been engaged in the field of general surgery, specializing in gastrointestinal tumor surgery and minimally invasive surgery. From May 2014 to April 2015, he was a visiting scholar at the Mannheim Medical College of Heidelberg University in Germany, studying under the renowned European surgical oncologist Professor Peter Hohenberg.
He has served as a Master's Supervisor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine since 2019. In October 2020, he was appointed Deputy Director of Gastrointestinal Surgery, overseeing administrative work at the West Campus of Renji Hospital. He became the interim Director in January 2024 and was appointed Director of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in September 2024.
