Personal Biography

Dr. Jiwei Huang is a Chief Physician, Master's Supervisor, and Director of the Second Urology Ward at the West Campus of Renji Hospital. He holds a Ph.D. in Medicine and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He graduated from the clinical medicine program at Peking Union Medical College (Tsinghua University Medical School). After graduation, he worked under the guidance of Professor Yiran Huang in urologic oncology for over a decade, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney cancer and renal pelvic/ureteral cancer.

From February 2014 to February 2015, he was sponsored to study urologic oncology and conduct postdoctoral research on kidney tumors at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is skilled in various robotic and laparoscopic urological surgeries. He independently performs over 500 surgeries for kidney and ureteral tumors annually, including complex procedures like kidney cancer with inferior vena cava thrombus, standard lymph node dissection for renal pelvic/ureteral cancer, and standard lymph node dissection for testicular cancer. Since 2015, he has presented his surgical techniques and treatment methods at international conferences such as the EAU, AUA, and UAA, giving 10 invited presentations by 2022.
