Personal Biography

Dr. Bo Feng specializes in key techniques for laparoscopic gastrointestinal tumor surgery and research on the molecular mechanisms of tumor recurrence and metastasis. He is also involved in the development and clinical translation of minimally invasive surgical robots.

He is the chief editor of Laparoscopic Right Hemicolectomy: Techniques and Concepts (2021). He was awarded the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award in 2021 and the Second Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016 as the second contributor, and the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007 as the third contributor. Dr. Feng has conducted research on right hemicolectomy NOSES VIIIa and has contributed to related outcomes, as well as studies on precise dissection of the gastrocolic trunk and transanal total mesorectal excision methodology.

He serves in academic positions such as Member of the Colorectal Surgery Group of the Chinese Surgical Society and Member of the Colorectal Cancer Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association. Clinically, he is skilled in laparoscopic surgery and Da Vinci robotic surgery for colorectal and gastric cancers. His special clinics are held on Monday mornings (special consultation) and Tuesday mornings (expert consultation).
